Stop acting so pompous. It's really not becoming of you. And I'm not here to get into a pi$$ing contest with you about your benefits at your company. This is about lying on your log book. But if you want to compare companies, I will gladly do it.

The newer drivers have no idea."

I ran out of hours driving for SuperSweet one time out of Henderson , KY I was up in Washington , IN and I ran out of hours on a friday and wasnt going to gain any , so I called over to where ed was at and got in his truck and came home. He pulled in the yard and punched out the boss came flying out of his office " Where's your truck " I said " up in Washington " he said " WHY?!?!?!?" " I ran out of time and you ran out of money" and walked out.

I normally don't get involved in these conversations as I am mostly a lurker in these forums. I do get a chuckle when I read all the comments concerning logging and the now dreaded eLogs. I am a reired airline pilot and I can tell you about monitoring hours and duty days. I won't bore you with the details (CVR's and FDR's) but I will tell you that truckers only have themselves to blame for the upcoming government guidelines. How many times on this forum do truckers admit or imply they were cheating on logs? What does the phrase " I was being creative on my logs" mean to you? Transportation is regulated by the government whether you like it or not--airlines have been monitored for years to improve safety and now the emphasis is on trucking. Just look at the unsafe truckers around you and thank them for all the upcoming regulations. Those of you who refuse to "log is as you drive it" will only be able to read about truckers.

Sorry--should be "log it as you drive it". 5 years as a military pilot and 30 years as an airline pilot and I always logged it as i flew it!!!:biggrin_255:
