just bored, pondering a few things

I had a sucessful auto repair business and I wanted and decided to buy a tow truck to run part time.Like you I had the money to pay for the truck if it didn't produce on its own. I had to get my own authority and CMV insurance policy and a special tow truck license plate. I spent $15000 on the truck and ran it for 5 years by myself, would not let anyone else drive it. Made a lot of money and had to make a decision of to get in the towing business and close the shop or sell the tow truck. I sold it for $15000 after using it for 5 years. The reason for selling it was tow truck business is a 7 day 24hour a day and the shop was mon-fri 8-5. You can make anything work if you really want to and have the cash flow to cover all your payments,insurance,license,ect.

 

first off good luck finding a company to loan you the money to finance it without showing a lease agreement that way they know you got work for it unless you got ##### near perfect credit

 

oh and the insurance thing thats no problem call progressive....they will do it all day any day...u could have got your cdls yesterday and they would do it...but when you call and get your price make sure your sitting down

 

i thought about it not 3days a week but i live in mass and i was hoping someday to do containers from the port a jersey trip in a day just port to port but not a 2 day a week gig
