    Hello,
I am looking for a freight company to ship about 6000 Ibs of dried dates from CA to PA. The brokers rates are not reasonable. I can not pay 2000 for 6000 worth of goods. Any help in this matter will be appreciated.

I have nothing against truckers. It just seems the 1/3 for shipping is too much. I have been told it should be around $500

That wouldn't even touch the fuel cost on that run. Have you done the math?:biggrin_2556:

You gotta be kidding me, unless this is ltl, cause if its a full load those dates will be rotten...no ones gonna touch it at that price, like the other driver said it won't even cover fuel cost:biggrin_25513:

That's what I am saying. 6 thousand is about 3 pellets. if they are shipping with someone else, it should be cheaper than $2000. they are dry dates, then they should not be rotten. Any help with this is appreciated. If you know someone that will do it for $500, let me know.
