After the first few sentences, it went negative and that's what I expected the post to contain. I wasn't disappointed. Obviously you didn't do enough research before picking this company, but as you put it... "they all had the same lies" so it didn't matter what company you selected, your mind was made up that it was going to be all bad and negative.
Good luck to you....

wow, thats bad as bad gets, a cell room with 4 guys holy grap, try millis transfer totally opposite, hotel room by yourself, and maybe 4 or 5 per class tops, no more, family owned, going there this spring
-
You'll have your eyes closed the majority of your time in a room. Can't believe how many guys have complained about their rooms. You're there for work, not vacation. You're there for a couple weeks, not an extended stay.
-
You get what you expect in life.
If you wake up thinking you are going to have a bad day, you will.
If you go into a job thinking that they are just going to screw you, they will.
If you go into a trucking job thinking that you can last a year and get the heck out of that company, you probably will not last a year.
If you stay positive, and work with the people that you work for. Do all you can to stay upbeat and do the job you were hired to do, you will do fine.
The kingpin lock and pad lock set are those fancy enforcer ones. They charge like 80 bucks for the set. I just looked online and found the kingpin lock from the set for 125. and the padlock for 45.Gears Thanks this. -
They could give it to him for free and the OP would find something to WHINE about it.
-
It's still a one time charge and a whole lot cheaper than the cost of that load you are responsible for. I just don't see an issue here.
I was told I would be sharing a room with one person on Conley. If that is a lie.. Oh Well.. I guess I will find out Sunday..
As for the drinking -- Good Grief he was in Salt Lake City what did he expect in the middle of all things Mormon..
I have no perceived expectations.. Tough to be disappointed if you aren't expecting anything. -
I'm thinking of putting a driver in my really nice Pete that could earn $50,000 - 60,000 a year running maybe 120,000 miles, but after reading this guy's posts all I wanna do is slit my throat.
-
Don't do that!! I am sure you will find someone better..
-
The dorm rooms in the Conley terminal have 2 beds per room.
Try and get a room on the left side of the hall. The heat and AC work better on that side, also they have windows for natural light.
The ones on the right get stuffy and have no windows.
Bring a sleeping bag to sleep on. The mattresses are nasty really really old truck ones.
Also a fitted single sheet to cover it up.
After the first week you should be in a hotel room. Not sure if that is 2 in a room or not.
Also, if all rooms are in use in the dorm they will send you to the hotel.
No drinking, no porn. Ummm.... that is about it. -
Considering I am only going to be there for orientation I hope I don't have to wait a week.. I already have my CDL, which Central paid for in NC.

I don't drink and don't need the porn..
However your suggestion is duly noted and appreciated.
