Sounds like your trainer has a pretty short fuse. I know plenty of people like that. I know it's hard, but don't let it get you too down. That's just how some guys are. I'm proud to see how you're hanging in there. You're getting closer and closer to getting your own truck. Keep your chin up. You're improving by the day, even though you may not notice it yourself.

I dont even have 30 of my 240 hours of seat time in yet, I just, shut up and take it at this point, I cant risk a long wait for another trainer, im low on cash (40 dollars before I gotta take a advance) and what if my next one is just as bad or worse? Maybe im just really that big of a screw up, shift too slow, keep clutch in when reving sometimes, miss gears, cant recover, have trouble keeping track of my trailer when pulling into places sometimes, swing too wide, not swing wide enough, etc etc
-
Don't take that advance no matter how bad it gets.. You'll just stay in the hole..
When I first started driving ambulances I had a whole different set of fears. I got over those and you will get over yours.
Deep Breath!!!The Challenger Thanks this. -
Well, as we have not hit a walmart sense I left a week ago, I have 40 dollars to last me #### near 10 days. The advance is 105 out of my next check (450) I should be ok, that would leave 345, 180 for my phone bill, leaving 165ish to last me a week...I would rather be a little in the hole, than not have money for food.
-
just don't overdue it..
Have you asked the trainer for a Walmart stop? I would not be happy if I am forced to eat the same way as my trainer. -
I have, and we keep missing them (Yes, honestly, a couple were my fault im slow on the downshifts) but, who knows, maybe we will hit one soon.
Right now Im just so...how do I put this:
Exausted. I dont think he is 'doing the first 50 hours' right, but all I know is I was told 'trainers truck, trainers rules, trainers in charge, do as he says' so...I d that. -

100 dollar advance they charge me 105.
-
Well let me ask a different way.....
You get $450 a week while with the trainer. But don't things like federal and state income tax, FICA etc come out of that $450 before you get it? So you are not taking an advance on $450 but more realistically taking an advance out of about $375?
Or is the system set up to postpone your tax burden to a later date? -
Unimportant to me at this juncture, and I don't know where you live but move. 30% tax is insane.
