Prove it. Until you do, you are FOS.

Anything other than rate quotes, records of transactions between the guv'mint and Swift and direct quotes from Swift management is rumor and conjecture.

Swift would lose money on open borders with Mexico. One of their selling points is the cross-border shipping capabilities through its ownership of TransMex. An open border would make that selling point moot.

Cut freight rates??? Have you ever tried to ship anything through Swift? They aren't cheap. I checked it out once because I was curious. I asked to ship two cars and a camp trailer on a flatbed. Swift wanted almost double what I could get a broker to do it for with the same equipment. So....who's cutting the rates??

As to accepting money from the guv'mint...have you ever collected unemployment or disability? How about Stafford student loans or a Pell grant? Free lunch program at school? Because it's no different. But, please show me where Swift has collected guv'mint handouts. It should be public record, so go find it.

It's up to you to prove since you're the one making the assertion. Just because it's repeated over and over again at the truck stop...doesn't make it true.

As a former Swift owner-op, I can't imagine how anyone could have a complaint about Swift.

The finest terminal has got to be Gary, Indiana. The people there are warm and friendly, and always helpful. Fuel is a little expensive, but the terminal is set up for a quick in and out, and you can get your fuel and be gone in just a few minutes. If you want to stay a while, there is always a comfy chair to sit in, and good food to eat. Their maintenance facility is state of the art, and I was impressed by their command of the English language!

Swift dispatchers are some of the most intelligent people I've ever met, always happy to step up to the plate, make whatever phone calls are necessary to get a problem resolved. These people are true professionals!

I always used to look forward to a preplan going to the New Jersey area so that I could get a chance at seeing the Avenel terminal, where parking is plentiful, the accomodations are luxurious, and the people are professional and helpful. There was always an empty trailer in Avenel, I never had to drive 200 miles at my own expense to find one, or take one of Swift's to be repaired somewhere. Swift always negotiates the best contracts in the East Coast area, so loads and unloads are prompt. No problem with union people going home in the middle of a trailer load and leaving you stranded for a the weekend! I loved the abundance of one-stop loads going out of the New Jersey area...no accepting local deliveries or milk runs just to get a way out like the other freight carriers.

Wait...this is the jokes forum, right?

Does this mean that you took my message seriously? The rules of the board say that I have to be polite and not insult you, so I'm not going to call you a #######, but, just to let you know, the post was tongue-in-cheek.
