So...whazup with the 20-minute deadkey, playing music, psychodellic echo effects and other nonsense? People having a regular, decent conversation and they get interrupted with the crap. Is there a point to it?
Question about deadkey...there's an idiot doing this right now, for the past 15 minutes and emitting a whine/buzz while he's doing it. Won't this burn his radio up after a bit?

I've looked all over the place and couldn't find any decent info on the net about the harmful effects of prolonged dead key (keying the mic) on a cb radio. I'll have to ask a well respected cb repair man for advice on the matter.
Here is a link that will probably not answer your question at all: http://www.worldwidedx.com/cb-band-cb-radios/37355-uniden-510xl-dead-key.html -
would be nice if his whole truck went up in smoke---i dont know why people get such enjoyment out of being a total dick--they would rather be annoying than talk or listen--ADHD?
rocknroll nik Thanks this. -
People that do those things are simply to stupid to hold a conversation.

The other night coming from Wyoming and this was over Thanksgiving week busiest traveling date to year and I did not hear no conversations in Colorado or Texas, truckers weren't even calling in the bear reports and I was trying to figure out what was going on. For instance their I thought my CB was broken or something wrong, but nobody was talking anybody know why?

I find dead key and other non-sense as aggervating as the 100 mile conversation on ch 19. Im tickled you have a friend to talk to, but there are 39 other places to have it...save 19 for neccesary info, not about what your wife did to your dinner last week.

It's all about control Injun. My Daddy use to call it "small man syndrome". Don't get me wrong, women do it too. Oh heck, I've probably done it at some time. People try and force their will or control onto others. It's like the guy who slows down in front of you but speeds up and paces you when you try to pass.
