Dunno ChiiKing...how do ya feel about narrow 2 lane highways, lotsa gravel...that's what they fill the potholes with...them ###### NWT speed bumps (the bison) and -50 temps? Come up in the summer, just beware of the horseflies...they're big enough to carry you away...there's 24 hours of daylight then & I'll show ya the sights! But just remember spring, summer, & fall only lasts 6 weeks OK?

I had to stop the truck to scrape the snow off of the grade sign....
    this is what I saw....
look at the DRIFT, not a bank, by the truck. this is at the top of a ridge in west virginia. I just got done unloading 8 pallets of freight off the tail, so ai tucked the tandems as far forward as they would go, I'm still light in the back, but I plowed for many years before.

I should also mention that when I (we) got to Jacksonville, FL, there was still 1/2 inch of ice on the front of the truck, snow on top, and 4" of slush boogers over the tandems. I'll bet that those people down in FL were saying......

Those buffalos look funny when the snow gets deeper and they use their heads to shove the snow aside to get at the grass to graze on. Their heads are covered with snowballs

Last week the ferry across the MacKenzie River was out due to low water, so after a couple of days we started to fly foodstuffs & essentials to Yellowknife from Hay River.

Here's a couple of pictures I took loading the plane...this is a vintage DC1 that can carry a 20,000 lb payload.

AND we just drive right out onto the tarmac & back right up to the plane!

Do you guys get the "Ice Pilots NWT" show down south? If so I actually got to meet several of the "rampies" from the show & the young lady pilot as well, was pretty cool actually..
