Been checking out the threads here for a while now. Being new to this industry I guess you could call me a greenhorn. Anyways I graduated from trucking school that I took through a community college got my license and have been searching for work. After being turned down by multiple companies for either being outside their hiring area or just not being a good fit for their company I decided to apply to the last company I swore I would work for. So I applied to swift shortly after completing the online application a recruiter called me to verify my info, she then said that she would have to review my mvr and that she would call me back in 48 hours. True to her word she did just that, after talking to her for a minute she says that she would like me to come to orientation in Memphis on dec. 7. So here I am waiting for her to call me tomorrow with all the travel arrangments and stuff. I'm a little nerveous about going due to the fact of having read other threads about people heading to orientation with swift only to be told that they couldn't hire them and got sent back home. I really hope this isn't the case. I'm excited to get behind the wheel and get some experience under my belt and my spirits would be crushed if they Yank my chain like that.
If y'all have got any advice for me that would be great. I'm all ears.
Happy Holidays from Rino.
