99% of the DEALS on CRAIGS LIST are scammers, likely no different with trucking companies with the TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE BS on there as well.

 

Unfortunately we will continue to see this type of complaint about companies. The problem is that most aren't companies,they're jokers that have a truck or two and pull freight off a load board. They get their settlements and already have another driver lined up for the truck you're driving before you even get home.

Drivers need to stop listening to the guy recruiting you for a job and simply start looking a litle more deeply into the company and it's operations. A good place to start is either the D.O.T or in Canada the M.T.O. They can give you CVOR records and outstanding fines,this is a big one because it's a great indicator that they have no intention of paying those they owe. Finding a company to drive for is easy,finding a company that will pay you to drive is the hard part.

 

Original Poster made it sound like he was pulling their trailer , so kind of hard for THEM to have someone lined up for the truck he was driving before he even got home.

CVOR and FINES mean nothing , the fastest and top paying companies I have dealt with in Ontario have marks against their CVORS and have a few outstanding fines.

 

I said it was a place to start. If you don't look into a companies background the same way they look into yours when applying for a job........you're looking to get burned or leaving yourself open to being a poster on here one day crying "Oh.how did this happen!!"

Educate yourself always.

 

Best thing to do is ASK if it is SO GREAT why is the guy who was pulling the freight no longer pulling it

 

dont work for nr trucking they are ran by russians who will still from you and lie to you they wont pay fuel surcharge even if they collect
