I wouldn't recommend Osborn. They have got to be in the top 10 worst companies to work for. They are always hiring because they can't keep anybody for very long. The only drivers that stay are the ones that can get dedicated runs.

I've worked for Kennesaw and I got laid off last year. I can promise you that if you wanna make it off the yard in a truck, you better find another company to do it with. When Shaw Carpet took a hit from the building market going downhill it put the nail in the coffin for them. The whole open door and "good christian" stuff they talk about is another joke. If you are a solo driver and don't flirt and play around with the owners daughter then you won't get a load back home, and might I add she's not what I would wanna mess with. I knew things were getting slow when the teams were told the had to stay under a load for more than a day instead of dropping it and doing a turn back out. They continue to run adds in the paper and have the big sign up but don't even bother.

Are ya'l;l kidding me about these #### tests? What freaking idiot sat down and came up with these tests? How about taking a driver out to a truck and say here ya go, do the pretrip and check everything. I don't care how he gets it done as long as he does it. and what the heck does a grip test have to with driving? Now climbing up on a table I can understand, if you don't make as a truck driver you can be a table dancer. LOL. some of these freaking companies, I swear.

this tests are funny - its not a test at Schneider yet, but probably will be - "the landing gear crank handle spin" - they instruct you to never free spin the handle, always keep a gloved hand on the handle as you turn it (and turn it and turn it and turn it). Why? Cause some jackwad was spinning the handle when someone called to him and as he turned his head, he lowered his shoulder and SMASHED HIMSELF IN THE FACE with the handle - god, what is this world coming to?

If you find any of the trucking company physicals overwhelming then you have more to worry about than being sent home. I can say this 'cause i weighed 328lbs 18 months ago, now 265 and working on it. You don't need me to tell you, you know, we all do.

    nonstop Thanks this.

How come none of these company websites have these "tests" on their websites? I would think this would help eliminate some of the applications they recieve if someone "really" knew what they were getting into before even getting hired.
