trucking is a hard job and some people are happy when others are not .davis you wait some times more then you would like to but they pay for waiting and lay over its a lot of store del no touch at all trucks in good shape and trailers good to but if you are used to running coast to coast its not for you i am just saying i am happy there but its a chance you take when you go to work any where good luck .

I did my road test a couple days ago and start oreintation on Tuesday. I was impressed by their operation. Saftey seemed to be very important to them, after running for a company where getting the load there was more important then saftey looks real nice. It's a big cut in pay but I think I can still make good money, I figure $800 to $1000 a week gross and be home every 7-9 days for 2 days off and majority of the driving in the southest is pretty nice also.

Yeah I think so and I see there trucks up and down 95 a lot and I live 5 minutesd from 95 so maybe a chnace to say hello to the family everyonce in a while before hometime. Other drivers say they don't have a problem with them doing that.

I have been there about a month now. They are a good company to work for.Every job has its good and bad but Davis has got me home every 7 days and worked me when I was out.If you like to hang out in the truck stops then this is not for you.Truck and trailer up keep is like no other. If you have something wrong they fix it. All in All it is a good place to be.

Do they hire out of Georgia? Also, do they hire tech school grads?

I think I saw a terminal in Lawrenceville Ga?

    cranky , Jamie,

Drivers have again ruined things for the rest of us, concerning parking.

They still let some drivers park elsewhere.

Good luck finding anything half as good, perhaps you'd like working for knight !!

They have a yard near you, don't they ??

I was going to say, I don't think that they "require" you to park at a yard. That's BS because I know of atleast 3 drivers over my way who take their trucks home with them, and we are no more than 174 miles away from Starke. I think you're just whining to whine, I could be wrong....
