I've carried 90lbs the distant without issues with my heart rate. The only thing that really worried me was the under trailer thingy. But after talking to people here and the recruiter, I'm not muched worried about it anymore.

Ya'll have been a great help to this newby trucker wannabe.
    thanks

Believe me ^ these days are the true killers in this industry. Pretty much lost my driving job because of it. Just got a call back from Roehl telling me Im still on the re-hire list so I might be headed back to try to salvage my driving career. Lets hope she wasnt fibbin lol..

Well I'm sitting in Marshfield now. I drove the snow for 2 days from Va to Rockford, Il. It finally let up after that and was a nice drive from there into Marshfield. Now I just need to get a good nights sleep and then off to Roehl training in the mornng.

Well I survived day 1. The testing almost got me. For some strange reason my body freaked out. My starting pulse was 135!!! I had max setting of 156 to stay under. Like I was going to relax after hearing that. My blood pressure was high too (low enough to pass). Well I made it through the test with ease. I really believe it has more to do with atitude and how you handle the task than the actual scores. One guy split his pants during the squats. Word about that spread quickly.

Everyone that showed up for our class made it through. We only have 4 guys. 2 were a no show.

It's hard to believe that I will actually be driving a truck tomorrow afternoon!

Anyway, I'll keep things posted as we progress.

btw: If you are headed to Roehl, chill out and relax the physical test is easy.

Also, many thanks for all the input and tips. I used them to my advantage.

Hey Sherd, I just finished up last week. Relax and enjoy the ride. It will be fast paced but it will go so fast. I think Brian is one of your instructors so tell him Bryan from his last class said Hi.

We have Brian and Joe. I'm in the truck with Joe. I'll tell Brian for you. Spent the afternoon making lefts. I love being behind the wheel of the truck. Of course that could all change when I start my backing. All I know is my Sequoia feels really small now.

We are enjoying a long weekend. Snow and wind shut down the school for Saturday.
