Buffalo NY snow mess

how are the plows to get the road cleared with all those trucks?

 

#### thats a whole lot of trucks. is that a strictly trucker highway or something?

 

That is the issue, they cannot.

 

there must have been another issue, does not look like that much snow

 

the road is closed between tolls, right in buffalo.
Since no toll in that area they had no way to actually close it, and people kept getting on.
They worked the cars out for the most part, but trucks cannot turn around to get off the on ramps.
They have had around 30 inches of snow right in that 13 mile wide band today. Not really all that bad but enough.
The road is solid ice at the moment (my wife says) but they are working to clear lanes to get the trucks moving. She did not say what was keeping it closed.
Most of the cars that people abandoned have been moved, but she says some are still blocking lanes.

 

good thing it wasn't in NJ, they'd all get tickets for that snow on their trailers!

Basicly a jackkife casued an early backup, then other accidents happened.
Then after waiting for that to clear the cars and trucks still on the road got stuck, so they would have to pull them out one at a time to get them rolling.

 

Its December and its upstate NY.....get used to it..

 

I am use to it. I was posting for the benefit of others.
Heck, they still have not gotten much of anything at home yet.
By now the Ski resorts are normally open and we have had several feet.
This is so far a very snow limited winter. We are under average by at least a foot or two.
