sheriffs they are all the same. I'm helping a friend in his boat shop and last week we fixed a boat for deputy here in town. when He cam e to pick it up he was mad about the bill. we explained it is what it is! he said he wasn't paying so I politely put it back in the shop. he explained he had a gun and would be taking it. I called the city cops out they get out and start taking his side with the " he is a policeman business" I then call the paper with the city guy standing there. 2 minutes later the cop hands me cash takes his boat and leaves. the Nerve of some of them! Now I know they are all not this way, but just like truckers there is a jerk in every pile.

I fall back on the old, "I Get Paid To Haul Your Junk, Not To Hear Your Gums Flap".

ANOTHER very good reason to NEVER EVER EVER EVER take a road truck into a residential area.
I was only dumb enough to do it ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually twice............ the first and last time all wrapped up into one single venture into residential area.
That day I was a fast learner.GuysLady Thanks this. -
Fun times!
I learned real fast how to back down mountains, through neighborhoods and all kind of crazy places.
Got hassled by the cops all the time... -
When I pull off my straps , chains , tarps its your problem . Don't like it , ittll magically leave my trailer and most likely get ruined. I had a cop on my ### one night I pulled over and he passed I went and passed him and the blue lights came on he questioned me and I got some mad I was shaking.

I suppose they failed to read the fine print in the contract driver is not responsible to touch freight. I don't blame you one bit. Lacing tire's is a back breaking pain in the ### anyway. So he lost his carrier and his broker. Nice. These are the kind of people that don't deserve to breath.

Could have done what my father did one time when hauling Fence with a Curinside trailer. He was told to UNLOAD it. Yet the BOL said Driver is NOT TO UNLOAD. So he Pulled the Straps of the rolls removed the braces from one side then made a quick turn that way and UNLOADED the trailer in 10 sseconds. Then went it is on the Ground YOU RESTACK IT. Got his Bills signed and got out of there. Shipper then told the Reciever they had to find a NEW supplier.
