In Lamar, CO tonight. Nice toasty 30 degrees. Much warmer than last night in Ft Bridger...-6.
Great TG holiday. Picked up my load at Darigold, bound for Terrell. Went to Thermo King next door. it was the switch again. The tech spent three hours going over every circuit, every wire...couldn't find a problem. Pat Yarbourough told me if it happens again, they'll see about getting me a new APU. Probably only need the circuit board, but quien sabe, eh?
But I was nice and warm last night.
Got my delivery changed from Thurs to tomorrow so won't be needing to beg for a repower in Amarillo or sit around for a day.
Stay warm everyone.

Does begging for a repower actually work?

Spending the day/night at jessup MD TA... nice 45 degrees today.
if it were not for the constant barrage of QC messages, touting the referral bonus, the bookkeeping messages...and other non sense, I would have thought I was it for Stevens. Did not see another Stevens truck for 3 days... even in places I used to see many waiting to pick up. I am the only one setting at this TA. -
Its only the first of December and im already tired of snow.It followed me all the way across Indiana and Ohio today.Just sayin.Heck it followed me all of last winter and so far it looks like it is gonna do the same this year.Im gonna tell my manager my comfort zone is the south, lol.Everybody be safe, keep it between the lines.

Hey, it's 64 and sunny in the big D today! Whatta change!
Made it to Walmart with seconds to spare. Have 15 left on my 11, which will be just enough to get me to the Terrell TA. Soon as they finish unloading.
DM told me I had 585 to Terrell from Lamar. Woke up, started moving and saw it was 614. That 30 miles made all the difference. But I made it.
TLea...don't know if begging helps. But I have no pride, so I'll try.
Must have seen 20 Stevens trucks today. Some wave, some ignore. Oh well.
Of course 287 from Amarillo to Dallas SHOULD be full of them.
Was going to ask for a load to Porltand, but seeing how the Gorge is frozen, the Blues are snowed in and Boise got another 5" today...think I'll look for a load to Cali.
Of course, I'll take what they give me...but I can hope. -
Got a QC last night: Come to Yard.
I was just there a couple weeks ago.
Well I think I set a record. In at 7:30, out at 2:00.
Hoodathunk?!
In San Antonio tonight with a load headed to Dolores tomorrow morning. Met a driver here at the pumps coming out of Laredo. Said she'd never seen so many trailers waiting for drivers there. Sounds like I'll be out of there tomorrow before noon. -
I had already done all that b4 i posted on here. Finally got out of GA, now sitting in New Braunfels heading up to Austin to pick up a load going to SC.
-
Well I was right. Altho it took forever to get unloaded at Dolores today, I no sooner sent in my Empty call, than recieved back a load assn from Laredo to Stockton.
Will have lunch with my uncle in El Paso tomorrow, then dinner with my son and his wife sunday in SoCal and be ready to deliver monday afternoon. Hope they'll take it early. not due until wednesday night.
There were still 12 loads ready to leave Alvarez when I left. Lot's of freight there right now. -
Hey all! Busy all week, finally at home on a reset.
Busy week getting trailers to new customers. Hope Stevens is buying new trailers. We can find that out, right? Going to be a big need for them regionally around here all of a sudden. Currently we're already low on them! Big test for the company pre-planning or not.
Next week will have new runs and such, so my almost tedious repetition is about to change. Cool, I hope.
I'm not too good with long term repetition, ya know?
One year ago this week I started Stevens school in Dallas. Wow!
Christmas Eve is my first year! Woo!
Making a one year post next! Because what I typed below was too long for a post in here! lol
Keep it between the lines and the shiny side up! -
In rockwall Tx TA tonight...
Watched a guy rip the hood off of a silver pete 379 this morning in Tennessee... and then he proceeded to try and hide, and act like he did not do it. The owner of the pete was inside eating breakfast..
Got to say the owner of the pete was not as upset as I would have been... He was angry that the guy was trying to deny doing it, and then deny he was the driver of the truck parked between us all night. The HP was sorting it all out when I was free to go.
The guy forgot about the tail swing, and hooked the wheel well with his bumper and then just kept going, after getting out and looking that he was caught on the other truck.
Rude awakening to hear crunch, crack, pop.... of fiberglass and metal. -
congrats, Smokr.
When I was in the yard (again) this week, I asked about the trailers. I was told they were ordered but the manufacturer was behind on delivery. Hope they come soon. The yard is mighty empty!
Enjoying the warm weather this week. What a change!
