Notarps.... In Mercer's defense..... They publicly state that they are a irregular route carrier. And I will call that an irregular route!!!

Anybody doing San Diego-Ft Irwin runs? I'll be doing this until Tuesday evening.

 

Yeah Im on that run but thru Matson. Whats Don paying for those loads ?

 

Note to self and any other Mercer Drivers... You can not get paid enough to tarp 7 foot high frieght elevators with 8 foot lumber tarps, sharp edges everywhere and no top to speak of to roll the tarp out on.. Good thing I picked up a nice easy good paying oversize load to make up for that 3 hour tarp struggle.. I am really considering leaving those 8 footers at home or the ditch which ever comes first..

 

$690 and change for Mercer contractors. He said extra $100 for Sat/Sun loading.

I was going to do this until Tuesday, but I'm thinking about going home tomorrow. I've had just about enough BS I'm willing to put up with.

I got stuck at Dust Bowl last night. The word is the army unloading crew got flew in to LAX instead of Victorville, causing delay. They didn't show up until 7:30AM this morning.

Then a bunch of trucks (including me) brought cans down here this afternoon. Apparently, someone decided to let civilians take care of forklift/crane duty and it's perfectly OK to let them go home at 5 o'clock and let us sit here overnight.

And Don said no detention pay. Wonderful.

Tip: I wouldn't take any load that you can't drive off your deck.


I really don't like to complain, but I'm a little pissed off right now.

 

No where near as pissed off as I was last night while I was in Louisville

I need to make a correction for you. It is 4:00AM locally and I see a bunch of trucks with HMMWVs sitting, so they aren't unloading 24/7. Just so you are aware.

Seems like I've been doing more sitting lately then driving.
