Na, you ain't no stranger my friend. First of all let me say sorry about your cruddy misfortune. That truly does stink but don't let it put you out of the game.

Second, I am not sure where Kuntry was coming from but I did not see anything humorous about his comment. Plus his english is horrific :biggrin_25513:.

I know exactly where Center Grove is. I actually live just a couple miles south of Dry Pond off of Hwy 82. My kids go to Jefferson High. It is quiet up here for the most part. Not a whole lot happens so that is good.

Well, CarolinaCatJack, glad I could make you laugh! Best wishes on a speedy recovery. Feel free to PM me anytime. I am trying to make as many friends out here as I can. Hope to be in a truck by mid-next year so I need all of them I can get.

I liked them a whole lot more before I had to deal with the safety and worker's comp people. Seriously, I've got a feeling they're going to try to force me to drive for them once all this hullabaloo is over with. They probably see it as, "We paid for your surgery and recovery. You owe us." I don't know for sure though. Just a hunch.

No, I haven't found another carrier, but I've got a couple in mind, who I'm going to talk to once I get through all this.

Glad you are getting healed up Matt. I looked at TMC hard while in school then a tanker gig found me. 7 months later and I still have a lil bit of Black and Chrome Fever. Where abouts are ya in SC? We run allover down there, and there are gators around Moncks Corner!

I have a hunch... that you are going to like them a whole lot less when this whole thing is over with. [Just my .02 worth]

I do wish you a speedy recovery & hopefully you will have no future problems w/your foot.

Sorry to hear that happened Carolinacat, glad to hear thing's are getting better and your on the road to recovery. Don't sweat it though. Everyone makes mistakes. No one is perfect. If someone said they are then you and I both know they are lying their ### off. It's like riding a bike for the first time. Just gotta get back up and try again.

If I don't find a local gig soon, I'll be forced back to the road but I'm considering TMC. Just makes me nervious because I've never drove a 13 speed. Like you, I'm tired of refer and dry box and want something different. Atleast if you don't go back you can say you gave it a shot and you did it. Just a little misfortune is all. Good luck bud and hope you have a speedy recovery as well.

I'm in Travelers Rest, frawg. 15 minutes north of Greenville and 20 minutes south of the BEAUTIFUL Blue Ridge mountains, at the SC/NC state line.

I'm thinking the same thing, Ignatius. They're already starting to crawl under my skin, but at least they're paying me a little bit every week.... Staying thankful for the little things.

    Hey Skunk, don't sweat a 13. it's a 9spd with a splitter on the top four. No big deal. 1, 2, 3, 4, hit the range selector, 5L, 5H, 6L, 6H, 7L, 7H, 8L, 8H. EASY shifting tranny. You'll like it. :)
