Thats not always the case, most new drivers just don't do enough research and sign on with who ever calls them back. Its hard to get threw your head how getting a trucking job works most of the time You pick them....that is until you get to the small companies that can pick you.

But there are smaller carriers that are far from bottom feeders that hire new drivers and dont have crazy requirments about your driving record.....Watkins Shepard is a good example only 750 trucks and there a GREAT company to work for

There is a community college here in Iowa, that I will not name at this time, that get their trucks donated to them by, I believe it is CRST....so that school has a lot of nice things to say about CRST....

At my school, our instructor would give us the names of companies that called him and were hiring...so we got current openings from him....nice....

I applied on my own, and got my job on my own, cause I wanted tankers.
