Besides for all the reasons already covered, The company controls how much money you make.

That ain't good. They got the power of life and death over you. If they want to sit you and starve you out, there is absolutely noyhing you can do about it.

Have them write in the contract that you will be guaranteed a minimum settlement every week, whether they have the work or not. They would never do it, so they can stick their one-sided contract.

    That's 1700 a month ( roughly )

    Before :

    Insurance
    Plates
    Permits
    IFTA
    Escrow

    Now your pushing 2000

That's allot if you ask me but ... It's your biz so I won't bash

    But then fuel ......

Profit margin cannot be too high

    Picknflick Thanks this.

    not saying it is perfect.....

I CAN tell you that based on what I ran the last 2 weeks, saving fuel receipts, etc (the 2 weeks before I converted to lease purchase, using all the fuel receipts miles driven etc) and for 2400 miles I made $819 company side...

If I had been lease AFTER paying fuel, payments, note, insurance, etc.... I would have cleared $1135 per week. (based on a 2400 mile week)

    2007 Freightliner Columbia 600k miles.
    20 months, $407 per week.
    34k note....
early payoff $32k. (interest is about $2,000)

but again.... I have the freedom to turn the keys back in should I wish it,....

I am NOT here claiming KLLM is all sunshine and roses.... but they have less than 30% turnover on their lease drivers while the company driver turnover is close to 100%.....

I have read my contract over numerous times....I did my research....

scottied67, 123456 and Picknflick Thank this.
