We had a werner flatbed deliver pipe to our jobsite last year. It was a husband/wife team and they said they ran hard and loved working for them but that was last year

My first trainer with werner ran flatbed 48 states.
Here is the 411
-there are 60 or so truck in the flatbed division
-there are about 200 flatbed trailers
-ALL of the trailers are beat to hell. Good luck getting a strap hook under the rub rail
-all of the tarps are the old heavy blue ones patched to double their original weight
-tarp pay is $20, and they make you tarp pretty much everything. Worst tarp pay I've ever heard of.
-no mileage bonus
-no cargo check pay
-be ready to bobtail 250 miles to find an empty flatbed, because you won't be hooking up to a van. Period.
Any questions? -
Almost forgot, almost the whole board, if not the entirety, is owner ops. Werner isn't too keen on drilling holes in their fleece trucks for headache racks with as high of a turnover rate as they have.

They do bolt them to the frame, but they put them up far enough you can still pull vans (though I've never seen it done), so out comes the drill. Werner even drills extra holes in the fram for some of the family dollar roller racks.
You don't have to be the brightest to be the biggest.
