Why is it that the DUMB central drivers come talk to me? Today, at the Petro i parked next to another central truck and after a while the driver gets out and talks to me. he tells me that he had no load because he pushed out his Mac 6 because he only had 9 hours before he hits his 70. He then said "cant really go anywhere in 9 hours" I said "you can at least pick something up and go about 300 miles with it." Pause... He says, "i need to use the bathroom." They are all probably going to hate me soon...

HA HA HA. Can't go anywhere in 9 hours. That's funny. 9 hours at 62 miles an hour is a little over 500 miles.

Even though I have not started driving yet, but he sounds like a driver that will be "complaining" about not getting mile.

 

I just wonder if he was getting more hours back at midnight.
Still it was a stupid move. The planners would have seen how many hours he had left and planned at least somewhat accordingly.
And if he was getting hours back at midnight it would be even more reason to run.
I am one of those drivers that hates running off recap hours though.
I run as hard as I can every day. So when day 8 comes I normally have nothing or almost nothing to use. So I end up running nights on recap hours till I get home for a reset.
I am just lazy though from working jobs where I am home most weekends for the past few years.
