Back from TMC orientation in south carolina

In my experience working at TMC before and in talking to many drivers both on here and on the road there was a wide range of thoughts on TMC. Some made great money and loved TMC, some were middle of the road and some said they didn't make decent money. True some may have been lazy but I bet most were not. I think a lot of it is based on your FM. My average pay check was $400 or less a week when I was there (on %), true freight was slow but there were drivers making double that from what I heard. I left for personal reasons but also because of the pay, I can make that and be home every night.

Basically what it comes down to is not everyone has the same experience at every company. And its not always because of their work ethic or performance.

 

sheeesh! Thats too long for Orientation. I sure hope they pay you decent to be sitting that long.

my brothers stepdad has been with tmc for like 30 years and he has nothing but nice things to say about the company. now does tmc ONLY run flatbed? do they do anything else? ive heard lots of good things about them and am curious about the company. im a new student currently with crst on contract (i know). my contract is up in april i believe and am looking at other truck companies. how does their payscale look? what benefits? how many miles r they getting? do they run teams? solo only? can u take the trucks home? feel free to email me at mattbnr@gmail.com if u have any info regarding this.

I love TMC also !!! Best choice I ever made in my life except when I married my 2nd wife......... Lol I've been in truck #91101 for a few weeks now and I get my own truck next Fri. Everything has been great. Follow the rules, keep your nose clean and make the truck make money and you'll make money !! Don't know why I didn't do this a long time ago.... I can't wait till Sun. so I can go back out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KEEP ON TRUCKING (with TMC of corse)........

 

i was hoping not to have to try and read through 500 pages of threads and posts to get the answers as im on a wireless connection out in the middle of nowhere and it takes like 5 minutes to load one page.

 

Can A Tmc Trucker shed some light about this company. I was thinking about signing on after I get my cdl but was told they run the hell out of you and pay cheap. I need some positive light about about TMC

 

How's the pay with TMC? What's best percentage or mileage. I get negative feedback the pay is cheap.

Forget TMC, you'd be better off going with PGT out of Pittsburg they are a better company altogether and alot closer to home. I've read just about everything posted on here about TMC and I've talked to atleast 2 PGT drivers in the last 2 years and if I were going to go back out over the road in flatbed,I'd pick PGT.
