is the $150K-300K a year income for truckers legitimate?

Redd, it matters because Heavy "DUDE" put out a challenge to a poster that wasn't even "talking" to him. Heavy "DUDE" has tried (in vain i may add) to side step his giving up HIS so-called proof, that HE MADE $178,000 as a solo driver (10 years ago) and HAD the 1099 to PROVE IT.

he (heavy "DUDE") issued a challenge to that poster, but has put a "condition" that the other poster "put up first"...and i simply responded, "that is something i always wished an o/o would really do....

and that is actually prove he earned so much money, without someone else having to do it first.......why can't a person that SAYS he can prove it, just "do it".....?? without some sort of challenge...????

seems to me, someone else ought to "put their money where their mouth is", or "zip it"....."

to which ever since THEN, Heavy "DUDE" has tried bringing up PAST threads, with NO BEARING on this thread, to "divert" attention AWAY from him and get others off this subject. he is purposely sidestepping, as he is "caught in a lie" of what he cannot prove as true, and that being his so-called "earnings"......

it IS NOT a pissing match, but instead of a thread in which an (now alleged) o/o who made a claim he cannot substantiate.

many of us DO know/understand many things. it goes back to Heavy "DUD" who issued a challenge of "comparing" 1099's to W-2's and he has backed out, sidestepped his own challenge mind you because he knows he cannot, and is from my perspective, a bold faced typical o/o story teller.......i called him out, he failed miserably and he cannot get himself out of his own crap, so much so, he had to bring up a thread OF A DIFFERENT nature, just to get people off this one, and here too, he has failed. when one has to "side step" as he has done, it goes to show who lost........because now they are grasping at straws......for any last hope of survival.....

i ain't the one making challenges to others, YOU ARE and you cannot commit to it. you give links to a website, NOT YOUR OWN 1099 LIKE YOU SAID YOU WOULD, to provide PROOF of how much you earned, albeit 10 years ago. you KNOW you lost......

this is TRUE......and what is really galling, is when a person like "heavy DUDE" makes his challenge, and then is called on it, he suddenly backs down or side steps what he "challenged".....he would have been better served to NOT have put forth his earnings.....

yes, yes it IS GOOD stuff.....you asked a question, you got answers, then someone like "Heavy DUDE" decided to take another posters comments (not mine/not yours) and turn it into HIS own thread, which he now cannot survive the outcome....

let it be known thealfa, money CAN BE made in this business, but you also got to weed out the hearsay from those like (Heavy DUDE) that
"claim" they earn so much money, whether it be last year or 10, or 20 years ago. NO ONE is going to ever tell YOU THE TRUTH in how much they earn. as i stated, i make as much as any other driver, and that is a "paltry salary"......figure on stating pay from $30,000 to maybe all of $60,000, and this depends on how much home time you have, how many miles YOU run, the loads (value, if you get paid a percentage of the load), if you are OTR, local, dedicated, union,.....etc,etc.

try not to EVER believe those magazines.....if you did, then EVERY company out there is "the best to work for", "the best hometime", "the best equipment", "the best, this, the best that".....

and one FINAL thought or words of wisdom, NEVER, EVER believe what an o/o tells you of how much he earns...because along with our politicians, many (except a chosen few) will just LIE to you and fabricate stories.....

It is not hard for an o/o to gross 150k or better it is hard to clear that much.

 

I don't see whats so hard to believe about someone making over 150k a year as an O/O.

HD should be making around the 300K mark with the equipment and money involved in what he has. You have to keep in mind his trailer brand new probably cost over 100k. The tractor alone was probably close to 170k, depending on what was done to it from the factory.

He hasn't side stepped anything. He said he would show it if you put up the money. Sounds pretty easy to me. I don't need to see it so I'm not going to pay, if you want to see it pay up or quit complaining.

Rerun, I make a statement than I can prove about 1099 income. Do you even know what 1099 income is? Can you prove the above quote? No you can't because I made no such claim. Your a liar, plain and simple.

Rerun has always backed up everything he has put out there with documentation! With that being said we are currently awaiting yours(Heavydud). You were supposed to post your 1099 last night. Bring it on or you will be the one who lost the credibility!
