I'm in my third week of school with Stevens. My experience has been great, and the company treats us well. Talk to any drivers on the yard that are in for hometime or layover and they say, follow the rules, drive legal and most of all drive SAFE and the company will take care of you. I like the feeling of the family atmosphere at Stevens. The owner is always at work 5 days a week. The open door policy is also a good thing here at Stevens, have a problem get it fixed ASAP. Also the trucks are KW T2000, T700 & T660's and Petebilt 387's. The company drives the newest fleet in the industry, with a limit of 17 months per tractor. After 17 months they are sold. So far I'm impressed with Stevens. The school training staff are top notch, and are willing to bend over backwards to help a prospective driver to succeed! Overall my current experience has been wonderful, and I would suggest Stevens Transport to anyone right now!

It seems to me that if you post the truth, and nothing BUT the truth about YOUR OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCES with a particular trucking company, then you should have nothing to worry about. Too BAD if a company doesn't like what they read about themselves...perhaps they should simply change their unethical treatment of their drivers, stop stealing their miles, nickel and diming you to death, putting false information on your DAC or whatever, and they should have nothing to worry about.
ALL OF THESE COMPANIES SHOULD BE EXPOSED TO WARN NEWBIES AND NAIIVE, UNINFORMED DRIVERS to STEER CLEAR. If enough of the drivers do that, the companies might just start to turn around, and start treating their professional drivers fairly and ethically again. Why are most of us making the same, or less money than we did 15 years ago? One company does it, gets away with it, and soon, all of the other's figure they can get away with it, and start utilizing the same unsavory tactics.

the economy is bad here in California, so i gave england a thought. I want to know what to expect during the training otr and the school.

how long do truckers spend on the road and away from home?

how much can a company driver make

is it better to work for a local company or a nationa wide fleet

how many hours can one drive on the road before you have to sleep?

is england the best company out there?

how long does it take to get experience acoording to employers looking for new hires

what money can i expect to make

how muych money can i make

is england the best choice out there

I know this is a worn out subject, however I am looking for any kind of class action lawsuits against jb hunt for the way the exploit drivers with the so called greatest lease purchase program. I was roped into this lp program and worked for 4 months and about lost everything I had. To make a long story short I had the most positive attitude about the lp program when I started and in less than a month of not enough miles to break even or get out of the hole my attitude started turning negative. I kept trying only to get cut short at every turn. Needless to say after 4 months of trying everything I could I finally had no choice but to give up. I had lost everything because of the jb hunt way of doing business. Since then I have said alot of prayers and most were answered. God seen fit to help me get my relationship back and sent me down a new path with a local company LP program that has give me a good enough income to repair most of the damage done from the JB Hunt farse. However now JB Hunt is trying to say I owe them money and threatening me with collection agencies. I don't want anything from JB Hunt but to be left alone. I don't hold grudges but I also don't like bullies. The fact that this huge company can promise good drivers to help them realize their dreams and then smash them like nothing is one thing. But then to come back and try to make you pay them for all the hurt they cause is crazy.

    Sorry what happened to you.

It is "buyer beware". How long did you study up on it?

    Never rush into anything.

You cant sue a person who is judgement proof and if any of them want to waste their time or money trying, keep filing motions and cost them more than they could ever hope to gain. Thats how the real legal:biggrin_25525: system works.

Yea those dirty crap bags you know probably 89.9% of these companies all work the same way. Beware of D.A.C. hell I threaten to sue for liable and that will change their altitude , there was a recent case were a company had to pay around 130,000 for screwing with a drivers D.A.C. check it out in the Land Line Mag.
