This is the weather forecast for Watford City,Nd where I work out of..this is for the month of Dec. http://www.weather.com/weather/monthly/USND0365
I'd much rather work in cold and snow then wet and muddy any day..it's all about being prepared..like I said I'm a wimp when I get cold so I don't get cold....and how to I manage that you ask..well I look like a flip'n ninja and absolutly no skin showing..not very sexy but not there for anyone elses entertainment anyway and so far I love it..would recommend it to anyone..

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

gdyupgal...thanks for the info! I was just asking about the O/O thing because I heard there was good money in that but like you said I don't know if it would be worth the headache. Would become a 24/7 job with your own truck I would imagine. -
andddddddddd in the winter your rig will most likely stay mud and crud covered because you will be putting in soooo many hrs that bath time for it will be less of a concern..I will be going back in the spring and can't wait..it is alot of fun and the work just isn't that hard but it is physical and after your shift you actually get to have a life..like I said I would recommend it to anyone..

You think that one could get away with being a "reasonable" weather driver? Work spring, summer and fall and take the miserable winter off?

I am looking for a company to contract (lease) with with my own equipment hauling water or crude. I have my own authority etc. I have no experience in the oilfield so will need trained. Any info would be appreciated.

I work for Power Fuels and I have to say it is a great Co. so far..some roads here are still icy bud we're comming into the muddy season..there are alot of Co. here..I chose to stick with hauling Fairy Water as it's the most consistant right now but Production and Oil pay more..they do orientations every week(paid) and now is the time to get on board..if you have a spotty driving record or have drug or alcohol issues don't bother..they are very strict and do random testing..let me know if you'd like more info and I'll get you some numbers..Reneejvar4001 Thanks this.
