Well, I can see that CRST is a top notch company. Joking aside, after all I've read here. I'm very glad that nobody answered the phone the 2 dozen times I called them.
It's also good to know that this is not the only forum that doesn't have a lot of positive things to say about CRST.
Since my co-driver is just getting ready to get his CDL, I can tell him that we won't be considering CRST any more.
And since he is going the sponsor route, looks like we're heading to Swift.
But, that's a different thread.

I know I had my gripes when I was in training but after 2 months of being a co-driver I hafta say I have no problem with CRST. They keep me and my co-driver running even in jan/feb. My dispatcher is a former driver and works great with us. I know some people may have bad things to say but in my short 7 months in this industry Ive learned never hold truckers opinions as bible. Im just saying I have no problem with em so far, Im making good money and with the miles Im running in 2 months when I get the 9 cent raise Ill be making a killing.

I worked for a hotel that housed the CRST students that went to school in Springfield, MO and I can tell you first hand that every student that I talked to after they had been out w/a trainer had complaints. One student was sleeping in the bunk when her trainer rolled the truck (weather was not an issue) one of the students was coming back by the hotel and asked his trainer to stop so he could say hi and he was showing me the truck and I got up inside and it was way too small for 2 people to co-exist peacefully - as much as I love my hubby we would have killed each other being cramped up in a space that small for a month!! Can you imagine how it would be for 2 complete strangers?? The women complained that the trainers would try to get them to have sex w/them and if they wouldn't cooperate they were out the door. I heard a lot of horror stories some very similar to the ones listed here.

I'm so glad I'm out of there now. I thought when I turned my truck in that would be the end of it. But they shorted my verified experience on my DAC by 3 months. Not that big deal but it put me in a lower paying bracket with my new company. I don't miss them one bit. Just before I left I took so much garbage from them. In my 2 week notice my truck only did 2,000 miles. My co-driver even quite when he saw what was happening. Then I found out that my dispatcher didn't even put my 2 week notice in the computer because he was the reason I was leaving and he didn't want to look bad. I had to call all the way to the top to keep from getting a bad rap from them on my DAC as well. Now that I'm gone I realize just how bad I was being treated.

anyone have any information or experience with the crst lease purchase programs. good or bad i would like to know
-
:smt066myself I haven't dealt with crst but one of the drivers I trained a few years ago went with their lease program and was real pleased with it the biggest thing he said was take pictures of the truck you lease when you get it and date the pics and highlight any damage. I can put you in touch with him if you like. Be careful out there.
Pinkratjr Thanks this. -
Wow! I had no clue CRST was so poorly managed. I see their trucks all over. I only assumed their drivers were doing well with them. I guess my beefs with prime are pretty much nothing then. LOL. I never worry about repairs. although covered by warranty mosty my truck stays in good shape. Are you still with CRST? or have you moved on to greener pastures?
