wait, he rolled a bullrack and is now a recruiter are you sure this isn't SWIFT?Trucker4Life05 Thanks this. -
the two of you are doing well to keep a positive image going for JBS. As you can see by my user name, you can tell who I am. Mo did NOT hire Russell; Russell was hired by Corporate HR. I did leave to pursue something different....and being successful at it, as well.
To the one that commented that it depended on your DM on how much money you make......that is not entirely true. Having worked both as a DM and Load Planner while there, as well as holding a supervisory position....if the driver has done his job inasmuch as his macros, etc...and the LP has done his job to ensure that there are available loads...there should be no reason why the driver should not be loaded. Prior planning on the drivers' side helps; if the load isn't late coming out of the plant...if the driver doesn't accept a load that he can't legally make (contrary to popular assumption....I heard NO ONE force a driver to take a load!!)...and the driver is able to arrive so he can take his break prior to unloading...that makes it much easier to keep the driver running.
And, like any new company, JBS has had and will have issues. Any trucking company I have ever been with or managed had issues; it is the nature of the beast; shippers, weather, drivers, mechanical, receivers....there are too many variables for it to be an exact science. Everyone putting forth an honest effort and NOT spreading rumors will do more to keep the pride in JBS Carriers it needs to have.
And, the ONLY reason I left is I turned down an opportunity to be a partner in a company three years ago; when the opportunity arose again, I would've been a fool to turn it down again...it is very financially appealing to me and one that I am good at.
All of you...take care....if it is not something that you would say in front of your Mom...does it need to be repeated here??

Steve,
Nice to See you,
I hope you are doing well in your New Adventure, I can tell you this YOU are truly missed by Drivers and DM's Bkeuhne and Ddouglas are two who speak very highly of you not to mention many drivers, some of us Understand why you moved on for bigger and Better things. As Benny Hill is now Retired from Safety and a Independent Recruiter Benny Hill Recruiting LLC. Pretty cool that a Man with his knowledge of the industry and formidable driving record over some 40 plus years, is still involved in trucking in some way. Talk about trucking being in your Blood, Next time I come to Greeley (not any time soon maybe in Feb) A cold beer is in order Steve, I have not been in Greeley since the Bar B Q. Can not imagine why lol. But things are going well, as with anything there has been some minor issue's which have not in any way affected my income or mileage. But as you know sometimes personalities conflict and agenda's are affected. Oh How things have changed many changes for the better, some well I do not know how the DM's and Load Planners get anything done with all the Meetings, reminds me of a Senate hearing.
Merry Christmas Steve, and Merry Christmas to All Who read this thread, God Bless and Be safe out there on the Road wherever it may take you.alex94 Thanks this. -
Striker,
That is funny No this Ain't Swift Jeff Is a Good Person, he has just been sucked into the wrong Department with the "certified Recruiters" Before Jeff went to HR and Recruiting he was one of the Boys. But now H has flipped to the evil side it is sad too what a waste of talent. And Yes JEFF I know you will read this I just hope that maybe you will let it sink in. -
Well Once again I will be home a day or two early and Dec has been another good month, considering I was only out for 25 days this month, I have done well.
-
Hey Doc I was wondering what the home time from your experience would be for a guy from the Tampa area. I see you are out quite a while but I must have missed it that is required or your choice. I see JBS trucks around her all the time but didn't know whether they lived here or what. Thank's for any help or advice about coming on from around here.
