I asked in another thread about Greatwide.
My first impressions were they attract the bottom of the barrel with all the beat up o/o trucks I see. You might see one nice truck out of ten. The drivers I seen are less than desireable. This reflects lower than normal wages and with all the big accounts they are pulling, that alot of freight cost throat cutting is going on. -
I guess i should have put /sarcasm.. since you didnt get it
-
Greatwide has vacated the thriving premises and company they bought from the Steve Stiles family here in Cornholio. I drove by today and was surprised to see the property is vacant and available for lease. I hope the family got what they were owed....
-
I am sure they got what they were owed... If you mean greatwide filed bankruptcy shortly there after they bought them.. if thats what you mean then they got what they were owed if you mean actual money... I am sure they got screwed.

Ok lets talk about greatwide..I just moved to florida an have 25 years exp driving a truck.. Which by all standards means phoee around here..So i bought a truck an signed on with greatwide..OH my god...First paycheck was 2012 dollars for 8 loads..Really good ... well after all their deductions i brought home a grand total of 250 dollars.. they charge me 25 cents for fueling an 100 a week for tags which i still dont have.. Staying here till christmas an leaving greatwide is a ripoff
-
Did you not sort of CHECK THINGS OUT before signing on ?
-
No he didn't read the contract. It is all there. He also doesn't realize if he ever gets all those deductions paid for they will be giving those loads to new drivers that have deductions to pay.
-
didi read it..of course i did.. but when you get 6 loads that pay you 700 a greatwide takes 600..well what does that have too do with reading
-
Ok , CHECKING it OUT involves a bit of investigation / leg work , sort of like asking how deep is the water before just diving in head first only to find out its a wading pool
