Left the house on Evo1 yesterday morning. Drove to Danville, IL yesterday thru a snowstorm...INTERESTING!! Up this morning and got unloaded then ran up to Hoopston IL for a live load. Now headed for another big snowstorm in the area of Rochester NY. Hope to see some nice weather before heading home Christmas Eve but the good news is that I'll be a couple days into Evo2 when I get home.
-
You know, I was just wondering how you were doing. I'm glad to see everything is going good for you. It'll be nice to be in Evo2 before X-Mas.
Stay safe out there and let us know how everything's going. -
OK, so if anyone was actually following this thread, I apologize for the long delay in updating. It's been crazy busy and a lot of fun along the way. Finished Evo1 and did 2 days of Evo2 before heading home for Christmas Eve. Went back out for Evo2 on the 30th of December. Did my 8 remaining days of Evo2 then headed to Marshfield to test out. Passed all phases and was issued my 480000'mile Freightliner....at least it has an APU and actually seems to be pretty tight. Anyway, I had something that came up at home requiring me to be there on Friday so I asked my dispatcher the day I tested out (Jan 7th) if I could stay out until then. Obviously, he had no problems with that so here I sit for the night outside St. Louis for a 9:30 delivery. I've logged over 3000 miles in just over a week so.....all is well so far

Congrats on the getting out there on the SOLO tip!!! 480000 is a nice number... still under warranty. My first had 250000 (i think) on it. It was a VOLVO and really I liked it just fine. It did not have an APU, but was very comfortable ride. I felt like I had space to fit in the driver's seat, unlike the current freightliner. Second had about 450000. I had more issues with it than anyone likes... Actually both of the first 2 were in the shop as much or more than I drove them... lol
This one had 520000 when I got it and I'm currently hitting the 571000 mark sooon. It, knock on wood, has been "berry berry good to me" to quote a legendary baseball player... of course he was referring to baseball. I am, however, not... lol
I've had no major issue besides the bunk heater quitting. I currently have a cracked windshield and I'm sitting in Gary to get it taken care of. Hoping to get out of here by tomorrow since the week is relatively shot for me. -
I'll know in a couple hours for sure but think I'll be passing thru Gary later on today. Been out 21 days today and supposed to be heading home towards Ohio after I make this drop in Darien, WI. Maybe get to see you there.

Glad to see things are going well for you. Been thinking about going back over the road, and may consider Roehl again. Do they have APU's on all their trucks now?
-
Let's here from some new (last 2 months) Roehl drivers. What are you driving and how many miles are on her.
I only ask because i'll be going to Roehl after my 3 week school and should be in orientation the first of march.
480k miles would be great.
