Yanno, there's two things that you did wrong here.

1.) You failed to communicate with your customer.

2.) You cost your boss more money than necessary by being late and having to waste fuel idling when you should've been rolling.

Combine those two things with your other mishaps and I'd say your days are numbered with your current employer.

Might be time to start looking for another job just in vase I'm right.

Late loads are about as bad as an accident in some old school companies' eyes.

1)Yeah, I should have called them and let them known Id be later. Even if they said they were gonna be open for a while.

    2) Actually I leave the truck running all the time anyways cause the engine heaters not working on my truck and it dies if I shut it off so it wouldnt matter. It was the end of the week to and I dropped off the load the next morning so I still got his normal amount of drop offs done, just a bit later is all. They open back up on Monday tho so it really dosent put me behind scheduel for the next week cept for that 34 hour reset rule means I have to start a bit later. Can make up the time during the week. I can still get a load dropped off and picked up per day. just dont have so much time to spend at home is all. I can deal.

Learning from all my mistakes at least. There not gonna happen again. If they do then he can consider firing me Id say.

Every penny counts. Especially when they squeeze all that money out of ya.
