I live in the Southern Michigan area. I'd like to try something else like local delivery or Straight Trucks but no having much luck. So I've started to look into expedite companies. I wondered if anyone could recommend one in this area.

Most of my background is 2 years OTR with PAM Transport and those were Automatics. So yes my lack of stick shifting has limited my driving options. I did look at a local school for a refresher but they just responded with a 3 day package for $1300.

I saw a recommendation for Express-1 and Sudden Service but they don't have any Van openings.

I guess some of my interest comes from getting a break from the headaches of maneuvering and parking big trucks and over flowing rest areas.

Well it looks like I'm setup with a Try-Hours Cargo Van. They say I shouldn't require a logbook which should be interesting. Guess I can leave behind the weigh stations and over flowing rest areas.

expediting isn't like line-haul. most drivers hate expediting because of waiting for a load.could be 5 mins or 5 days depending on where your at.
