Good luck finding one to take you. I was out of driving for 4 years because I was in the military and I had to go through another driving course just to say I took a refresher.
-
If JCT is so great why do they have such a big driver turn over. They put at least on average 15 people a week through orientation.
BigKid2 Thanks this. -
WOW. Only 15 a week? Lots of big companies will do 3 or 4 times that amount easy. Know the BFI I work for does.
-
There a lot of people that think they are employees when they come to JCT, and do not realize they are contract drivers. Once they find out they have to actually go out and work for a living, and have to pay there own way, they decide it is not for them. Plus the fact that JCT is picking up new business everyday, means they have to put on more drivers. So what seems like a turnover to you, is really putting more drivers to work....
-
That's true. Actually that is small orientation size considering the size of the company.

I still work for JCT and I bust ### and do make good money. All I'm saying is JCT is not cracked up to be all that everyone says it is. my husband has been a owner op. for years and we have teamed for several years now and I will say that with JCT you can make as much money as a solo rather than a team. It also seems as long as you are upside down with your maint. acct. they will run you more than if you have a positive balance. You can make as much as a company driver else wheres and not have the head aches.

The USX orientation size had 75 people in January when I went there. Last I heard it was the same.

I will say 1 thing, and its not against JCT just 1 person there. Mallory does not know how to read a contract. After looking it over again, I found that they were suppose to give me a 30 day notice of my termination but didn't and he did that to other drivers that day as well. Since my lic. was not suspended nor revoked, per the contract. So actually it was wrongful termination on my part.
And as far as the ticket goes, I won. Ticket was dismissed. Best thing I could have done. -
If you're making the same as a solo y'all are doing something wrong. Lmb and his misses made plenty of money. How fast r y'all running the truck? What MPG y'all get? And finally where do y'all normally fuel?hwy40blu Thanks this.
