Hi Rambler,
It was his first company that is waiting for a new trainer. Meanwhile he did the orientation with Schneider but didnot pass the experienced drivers road test. Also, the first comapny he was with did not turn him loose. It was all team driving. The first guy that trained him had never trained anyone before. He would call dispatch and say that my husband would never make a truck driver but he would never say anything to my husbands face. I don't know how you learn if you aren't taught? And if my husband was so bad then why did he drive 600 mile runs while the other dude slept?
Sorry ya'll, I know I don't know this tranier dudes side of the story but I do know that it is wrong to say you are doing well to your face and that you will never make it behind your back. Oh well....
My husband now has some prehire possibilities with a comapny called Maverick that apparently has a training program for inexperienced drivers.
Thanks for the feedback and for letting me talk. (write)
