i might be wrong--but i believe most places--like truck stops dont actually have coloured diesel
but they do sell reefer fuel--but it is the same --just minus the taxes---
but yes it will be marked--and it is dyed red--and do not get caught with it in your tank

    TruckerNate Thanks this.

The stickers that say "ultra low sulfur diesel" means it's on road. I'm pretty sure all diesel sold at gas stations is on road.

    so this is confusing,

so is reefer fuel dyed? if it is, then it is off road diesel.

yea it didnt really come out right when i typed it
off road diesel is dyes red--but i believe in the truckstops--in us--they only sell on road--even if you hit reefer button on pump
reefer fuel = no tax and is supposed to be dyed red

up here, on road and off road is the same fuel oil.......only off road has the dye added, and no road tax.

I would have thought that is the case in the US as well.

its same idea--only at truck stops--(i might be wrong here)--they just dont deal with the dyred fuel--its the same fuel just not taxed
but --i think it was when it was hurricane katrina--down south all you could get was red fuel---and there was a waiver for you to run that instead--but where i worked nobody told the shop--and they were draining out the fuel when they noticed it in the fuel filter---then i showed them the letter as they were draining my tanks into the reefer fuel tank

so if it is same fuel, (clear) but not taxed, what is keeping you from putting it in the truck? If it is clear, and not taxed?
