Very good. Glad to see that you're getting the miles and also getting used to running them.
    Keep up the good work!

Excellent work my friend! Sounds like you are running a smooth operation. You are almost there. Won't be long and you are going to be driving your very own big rig! Man I wish I were in your shoes! That's such a great feeling when you get the keys to your own ride! As soon as I would get my keys I would run to Walmart to get my customizing accessories. Get it all set up to your liking. Won't be long now! Drive safe!

This story thus far is a good example of what Swift can offer trainees. Our TD started out excited and ready to roll and was placed on a truck with a real piece of ...er... work. Through some insistence on the part of folks on this forum, a friend within Swift and a fatherly "talkin' to" by a very experienced DM who was a trainer at a school and former driver himself, our guy was able to remove himself from a bad situation. And look at him now.

The demeanor of these posts has changed dramatically in the past week, from beaten down and afraid to speak up to proud of progress and anticipating more. When I last spoke to our TD, the change in his voice was so dramatic between getting off that truck and meeting with Rick that I wasn't sure at first I was talking to the same guy. I had to double-check my caller ID.

There will be a few personality rubs. That's pretty normal when you're locked up in a one-room cabin for any length of time. It seems to me, though, it will not be nearly as severe as the last one and should be easily worked out.

Keep up the progress, TD. You have great people backing you up.

Thank you Injun, and everyone. The only downfall so far is that the miles aint there for us right now, He is very avid about trying to avoid unsafe driving (I understand, he has a wife and 3 kids depending on him) and thusly, we have refused a few loads, but tomarrow we start moving to florida, and making him some money. See, Im ok with being a 'addition to his paycheck' if I am a respected, trained, and resonably treated politely 'addition' and he has given me that in spades, respect, and dignity, and all he asks in return is 500 miles a day or more. And I have given it to him whenever I drive, (if possible) if its not possible, I finish out a run and wait for more.

We have even talked about becomgin team mates when Im off training to keep things rolling good. we figure if we do that another 3-4 months after training, I tear up his truck (that he is replacing on the end of his lease in 6 months) And we either get into a new one, or we go our ways and I get into a used one of my own and start on my merry way.

Either way Rick has been a wonderful experiance, right now we waiting to deliver tomarrow at about 4pm . In NC, at a loves.
