Deadkey and Other Nonsense

My first employer as a nurse was with a Ohio facility for the - as they referred to back in the 80's-90's - MR/DD. Over 400 residents lived there! They kept you alert, but that was my favorite job as a nurse. We would take them to the Ohio Special Olympics every year. It was fantastic to see their expressions when they competed. Priceless. I am currently doing home health nursing care and one of my clients is a young man of 22 who is profound. I don't know why, but it just "something" I felt when working with special needs clients.

 

People have to remember 3% of us are not normal and did nothing to be that way. They cannot hide behind a mike and pretend to be " RETARDED " it for them is a life long trap that they have no exit from.

Unlike the radio poop-heads.

 

I got to the point where I just didn't have the #### thing on, unless I needed it at a stop for some reason. Life is just too short for me to spend it listening to garbage.

 

Sad comment that you have to turn the radio off .....

BTW my brother lives in UTAH near salt lake.

Someone sent me a really bad joke years ago .....

Seems they built a computer with a IQ of 1,000 turn it on and got words so big and math so hard that they had no clue what it was saying ....

They turn it down to a IQ of 100 and it talked about football ... SO they turn it down to a IQ of 10 ...........
