If I were a company driver, my current dispatch is 104 miles empty, and 2195 miles loaded - I'd be paid for 2299 miles. MapQuest is showing it as 2331 miles, and my really stupid GPS is showing it as 2176 - but its really, really stupid! If there's a really big discrepancy between dispatched and actual miles, my dispatchers have never had a problem putting in an adjustment to my settlement. -
You are given a basic oreintation on how the week will go, fingerprinted, interviewed, medical exam and drug test. You are given the CDL manual for Missouri with the sections pertaining to the exam. There is no instruction, there IS recommendation.... STUDY STUDY STUDY. Its all right there in the manual. If you really want to be at Prime you will pass the test...very simple... its really the only thing they want you to learn on your own. Passed the test on the first try. They give you ample opportunity to take the test again and again.
the one where you say study study study? -

hey i didnt mean it that way. i just dont know which way to go. prime told me i could be home once a week if i went tanker. or is that a lie

Loads are loads, and it may not always work that way - and in the process no one is "lying" to anyone. On the reefer side, I've never had problems getting home when I wanted to - but we do something completely different than what tanker folks do.
Find a Prime tanker yanker at a truckstop, and talk to him/her! -

I don't think that bad credit is going to sink your chances though - that probably covers quite a few drivers!
