Hoping all prospective 'new hires' for Unimark speak with someone who has worked for them. No point in directing 'prospectives' to current employees as they don't last long. Keep in mind that the rates quoted are for 1099 employees, which is what Unimark 'hires on'. The inside joke about Unimark and Truck Movers 'employees' is that they have to hold up banks and convenience stores to 'meet their expenses'. 'Prospectives' will have to pay their own taxes, expenses and benefits.

Expenses include, but not limited to:

    Lodging

    Meals

    Tolls

    Permits

    Fuel

    Undecking services

    Return transportation

    Social Security and income taxes

    Healthcare and accident insurance

    Retirement fund

Unimark, and its sister company Truck Movers are known to 'cut special deals' with 'favored drivers' depending on the contract. Also, a 'prospective' will need a good selection of hand tools, suitcases and appropriate clothing for this job. 'Prospectives' considering Canadian trips will have to qualify for and obtain a U.S. passport.

The 'corporate vision' of JHT Holdings (Dennis Troha) is for all 'new truck haul' to be handled by 1099 employees, including shop and office employees. No labor unions, no personnel departments, no employee parking, no benefits administrators, no nothing. A far cry from the pre JHT Holdings days when this was a trade of choice with a waiting list for employment. Chances are if you didn't know the right people you didn't get in.

    Good luck.:biggrin_25521:

I have been reading the conversations relevant to Iron Tiger and possible (or not) affiliation with JHT Holdings. So here is one possible answer. I called the State of Missouri Workers Comp Division and asked if JHT is self insured in Missouri or carrying a Policy. JHT is registered as carrying a work comp policy at two locations (for all their companies) Joplin and Kansas City Mo. You may make your own inquiry at (573) 751-4231. Now I pose this question for you: JHT Holdings is not registered as a foreign corporation with the State of Missouri, therefore may not do business in the state of Mo. so how do they? (Foreign Corp. simply means they are incorporated in another state and must file with each state they do business in). For that fact JHT Holdings is a Delaware Corp registered as a foreign corp with the state of Wisconsin. Among the myriad of corps. operating in the state of Mo. not all are registered. P.S. the work comp policy JHT holds is with a New Hampshire Company, according to Mo. Work Comp. Happy hunting!

The material on "red circle special ops" makes for fascinating reading. Sounds like you have quite an intricate counterintelligence surveillance system in place. I thoroughly enjoy the banter relevant to union allegiance i.e. IAM vs. IBT, reminds me of "children" with "my school is better than your school". Both a farce I have seen the balance sheet and annuals on both, they are both insolvent, do not kid yourself.

Interesting find. Not surprised though as the same 'players' have been involved with all of the shenenigans over the years...everyone here 'on the ground' sees right through the ploy. Hoping the 'house of cards' crashes down sooner rather than later.:biggrin_25511:

It gets really interesting when you're 'on the ground' and witness this phenomenon first hand. The 'players' and their 'minions' are quickly identified. Most interesting is the 'top player' is an openly gay man who wields tremendous influence, far more than deserved. He plays the 'diversity card'; you go along with his schemes or risk being considered a 'hater' and /or 'homophobe'. The people who play along suffer from a condition I refer to as 'diversity coma'. Quite common unfortunately.

Regarding union solvency; I really don't know but it's obvious the labor organizations are being marginalized by forces beyond their control? I read today where a Lt. Col. in the Army was discharged and sentenced to prison for correctly not recognizing the ursurper in the White House. Thinking the same 'forces' who installed that clown are also pushing for the demise of organized labor (and America):biggrin_25510:...

I guess because I try to be as low profile as possible, I don't see any of this stuff. Wish I knew who the openly gay man is, guess I don't pay enough attention. Most people aren't worth my time in ATT.

It helps if you have some knowledge of the 'lingo' (jargon) they (gay men) use. A large percentage of 'gay men' do NOT exhibit effeminant behavior and are often married to women. The one I'm referring has been married to the same woman for many years.

My trainer was/is openly gay and a 'proud bear'. He was still married to his first and only wife the last time I checked; they had several children and grandchildren. He stayed with ATT for about 10 months before going over to Unimark. I hear he's been at Iron Tiger from their earliest beginnings but wants to come back to ATT. I can think of only one reason he hasn't 'returned'.

Said 'trainer'(?) made the huge mistake of introducing me to ATT's 'gay coitiere', thinking I was supposed to be 'impressed' for some reason.

Things are getting more interesting by the day as Mr. 'top ATT gay man' wouldn't even speak to me recently and was barely able to make eye contact with him. I'm still here after nearly seven years despite his use of nearly every imaginable 'tool' from his 'bag of tricks' in lame attempts to intimidate me into quiting. I know the 'cycle' well as I've experienced it many times.

If you happen to be in the right location at the right moment in the near future you may get an ear and eye full of what you least expected as the 'players' will be exposed.:biggrin_25525:

It would be nice to see, with ATT turning to a real crappy place to work, I stay as low profile as possible. Gotten to where I have a couple friends and I dont talk to very many other people. Just dont trust anyone in ATT or IAM. CYA is all I worry about anymore.

It was interesting in San Antonio last week when they fired that guy, if you knew him he deserved to lose his job.
