Last I heard there was a long waiting list on the tank and flatbed side for trainer's. I know alot of guy's said hell with it because of the length of time they would have to spend pulling refer waiting on a trainer to open up for flatbed or tank and at one point while I was there I was told it was up to 6 months on the waiting list. Don't know how it is now. I know tank yankers do alot of the Chicago area from what I've seen. Also if it hasn't changed then you have no choice but to lease if you want a tank or flatbed position so with that said, you'll never make it in a lease going home once a week. Only company driver positions are offered in refer only.

Not true. We have company tankers and company flatbedders.
-
What he said. We've had company drivers in all 3 divisions since I've been at Prime. My former trainee that is in tanker is a company driver.
-
They pull food grade non-baffled tanks. But you will need a hazmat endorsment as they haul hazmat in some of them. And everybody must be able to get a Twic card too.
-
Ahh ok. I was told they didn't have company on flatbed and tank side. Learn somethin' new everyday.
-
AFAIK we no longer haul hazmat in the tanks. Not to say that we won't again, but it was one account that we no longer have hauling liquor in them.
-
