The difference is amazing, spools up faster, pulls harder and the EGTs won't go over 800 no matter how I run it.

About 2 months ago I got the B/W turbo that's the same as what PP and PDI are selling and a Detroit Radiator Power Max CAC, but couldn't put them on 'til I got a head gasket or injector problem resolved under warranty that turned out to be both.

What should I watch for as far as the new boost levels? Previously the wastegate capped me at 28 psi , now I can get 45 out of it. What should I keep the boost below? I can't see running 45 very much as being good for the engine.

Thanks to everyone that helped get me pointed in the right direction to get this turbo and get a smoking deal on it too.

I can't wait to have Mr Haney reburn my ECM next.

Sounds good, I'm trying to figure out what turbo to put on a 550 E model, what is the A/R of your exhaust housing? Thank you.

Wow 45psi.. I have the same turbo you have.. I can peg it on 40psi on my MBN that haney flashed to 6NZ 550 but only if I'm loaded heavy and stopped at a redlight going uphill do I ever see it go that high. Most times loaded it'll put out about 37/38psi, bobtailing it'll do 32/33 easy. I think that's more than enough I've got plenty of power on tap and all my temps are nice and cool no matter what the amibient outside temp. In the summer I'm hard pressed to see anything over 825* egt's in the winter it wont go over 600*. I thought my boost was a little low but after talking to several people they say if the power's there and the temps are good leave it alone there's no sense in blowing a head gasket which I'd be afraid a 7CZ flash might make happen. 45 psi might be ok on your motor or might not I'm not an expert and couldnt say. I can say that 32-40psi is a plenty for me though.

The BW turbo that's being talked about be me and a few others has a 1.32 A/R housing.

With you having a PP box this turbo maybe too small for you above setting 3 on the box. I don't like the box for many reasons.......one of them being you can't build a turbo to suit it, when it's off or at full power. You need something in between and run the box on 1-2 to get good response from the turbo.

The BW we're talking about is good for 45 psi of boost in the mid rpm range under full load. Max power is 725 hp of the engine any more than this and you'll be pushing the turbo, but I've seen guys run them with much more power and not come apart.
