Man snowwy but you've given me a headache!!! Understan "thingie" but what the heck do you mean by rooted? Are you buring something and allowing it to grow? lol

As to the sim card, thats what the tech support told me to pull out. This card does have 4g capabilty for the 40 cities that have rolled it, and assuming I ever get in one. Price for the card is now $50 a month for 5 gigs plus $10 for every gig you go over. I'm happy with this deal but then I'm just not a confuser person. Kind of wish I was.

Hey KH, my only problem with verizon is the data package prices suck. ATT was voted the worst cell carrier wife found it on net) so I might pay the cut me lose fee and move too.

Ok. So you are saying that the wifi hot spot will slow you down allot.
That is ok, I really do not need that. If I can tether to the phone either using wireless or a cable. I am ok with either.
I just need to find a way to save myself some green.
I will not be able to convince my wife to swap to sprint for phones, plus we are under contract.
We only get like 1000 min a month, and do not use even 400. So that is not an issue.
It is the data packages and the internet I need to figure out.
My wife only wants the blackberry to check e-mail and stuff, does not need much.
I need it to hook my laptop too for internet. So I am the one that will really raise our bill.

The question I guess is this.
If I pay for a data plan does that include internet? Or is it the data plan plus internet.
If so I really do not need much data, I can do a lower plan on that then do internet.
I really want the google stuff though. Will help for weather and such.
I really need to read up on them, I have not done that enough yet.

Have not had many problems with my ATT phone, as long as it was used ONLY as a phone. Had 1 of their wireless cards at first and man, was that a fiasco. Lots of roaming and lots of data xfer just above the speed of zero, zilch, zip, and old style modem speed. Have been much happier with verizon, even if I'm not the techno savvy person that everybody else seems to be.

Unlimited data on the Droid for $30.00 a month, I use facebook a lot and find that the 5 gigs on the aircard I ummmmmmmm sorta use well before the end of the month:biggrin_25511: I can use my fb on the droid and even play my games as all the games I play are now phone games. We are going to drop the air card and just tether the phone through pda net for free when I want to use the laptop.

Lol I'm a lil nerdy when it comes to the net, my air card was so slow today I actually spent $5.00 and got the pilot wifi.:biggrin_2551:

    AIN,

I could not agree with you more. My contract ends in February or March and I could not be happier. I have zero reception in the desert and it sucks.
