Hi guys.I'm looking to get a Pete 387 and there is two options:2007 or 2008.'07 has c-13 435hp pre emission with 515000 miles.'08 has c-15 450 hp with dpf.and made 360000 miles.I wont give u the other specs 'cos they both good enough for the company i work for.The 2007 is 43000$ and 2008 is 60000$.The biggest issue for me is to try to figure out which one will keep me rolling and which will cost me more to fix.i'd rather to get the 2008,but i'm affraid to have problems with dpf, thats the biggest concern.should i care that 07 has so many miles? Please advise, every opinion matters.Thanx

I'd choose the '07, that's really not a lot of miles for a well maintained truck, I only know one guy with a DPF Cat, but it's been a nightmare for him.

The '08 with DPF is going to cost you more int eh long run for maintenance. When cleaning the DPF unit any sensors that get broken you pay for. If the unit cannot be cleaned it is ridiculously expensive to replace.

Go '07 and save yourself some headaches, long run.

I'd rather have the big bore C15 BUT not the DPF. Buy the '07... much simpler.
