Im a truckers wife and my husband has been driving for a year now. First he started with swift well they dont pay well at all.then he went to knight well pay is good if you can even get payroll to pay you. well lets just say they still owe us over $500 since October of last year they screw up ur pay all the time. Any way this is too long of a story. My husband is always complaining about finding mts there is never enough mts and he waists his hours on looking for them and be careful with that as well he was confronted by an angry knight driver wanting his emt trailer as soon as drops it but unfortunaty for the other guy he was not droping he was keeping his mt. Knight also has an advertisement on a calender (no more looking for mts and they say theyll pay better) what a joke! and be careful if u refer someone to them be sure to let it be known or u wont get paid. But I wouldnt refer any one there its a disaster. They are also bad about getting u home oh and be careful of loads they gave my husband a load as he was driving down the road they changed sent him somewhere else then the second load got changed by the 3rd time he was so frustrated and cussed them out. They like to screw with u a lot. Yes even wives get crap from companies because we have a family to support and bills to pay and we got to put up with their complaints but its ok because my husband is going to find a new company to drive for and if any one has a sugestion of a better company I would be very thankful. He has apps out to different companies but not sure which to go with. thank you for listening and letting me vent. sincerely Melony![]()

Well thanks for the response but just remember I didnt complain about just no mts but payroll cant get off their butts and do any thing right either they lost over $500 of my husbands pay never repaid him. But all in all he refered a friend to knight he only stayed oprox 4 months and said that was enough went somewhere else my husband feels real bad for even refering him there. But we are still looking for a better company to work for, we realize that no company is perfect and we will run into problems every where but surely there is a company out there that is better than this one. And would sure appreciate some advice on what any one else has to say about a different company, how about KLLM or Texas Star Express this company has orientation in Dallas TX they offered to bus my husband there or fly but if he chose to fly he would have to pay the difference as a bus would cost boy what cheap scapes at least knight will fly you without problems. But Im still waiting for some one to give us some advice on a company they prefer. I would thank you.

Hi Melony
Where are you guys located and what are you looking for (regional, OTR etc?) That might help us to recommend some other companies. -
We currently are living in Missouri but plan to move this summer to Arkansas. We plan to move before he finds a different company if he leaves now it might mess up getting a house in Arkansas. but yes we are still looking if this helps any oh and he is more into otr and as long as he gets plenty of miles without too much hassel then we would settle for what ever we can get thanks for your response hope to here from you again.

Roehl Transport aint perfect, but they are a pretty darn good co.to drive for. They treat you like a person, and keep you moving pretty good. They have the van division, the flatbeds, and curtainsides. They also have options on schedules.I was on there 7 on 7 off schedule, which worked out good for me.They also have a 7 on 3 off 7 on 4 off setup which sounds pretty good.As a 7 on 7 off driver I averaged about 3000 to 3200 miles in my 7 day trips. As an experienced driver I got $.38 per mile.Only one time was my pay not right, and a phone call to payroll took care of that. You might want to ck.them out.I made my last trip for them about 2 weeks ago,I didnt just quit it is about retirement time.

Sorry Melony I can't help much for that area. We live in Ohio and my husband doesn't do cross country so I don't know a lot about companies in your area.
