You can request working in the Western Regional... Thats pretty much everything out west, and occasionally you will get out east. Im not sure about any dedicated routes in that region.
However you live in a very good area to drop trailer when you go home. We have about half a dozen trailers for the business we do at Cottage Bakery there in Lodi.
If you go OTR in the 48 you will probably only run in and out of CA when you request to go home. In three years I can only think of 3 or 4 times I have been there on solo loads where I havent already requested to go there and visit my parents.
Teams go in and out of CA all the time. -
That sounds nice. So U2, did you go through the apprentice program?
-
Yes... Im coming up on my 3rd anniversary in March when I left home to start training.
-
Nice, congrats! So, assuming all goes well. When I return back to California, is it a regional route I will most likely be on? And is there times going to Canada?
-
Not neccesarily on the regional deal. Dont get your hopes up and you wont be disapointed. Primes western division Fleet managers operate out of Salt Lake and Denver.
Expect to get to California when you request to go home after at least 3-4 weeks out each time, and you wont be disapointed. -
I havent been to Canada yet.
I have no interest in going, and nothing preventing me from going.
Just havent been assigned a load in that direction. -
Yeah, I was wondering what the passport was for ? So, I will most likely be picking up loads from Salt Lake then? How does all of this work?
-
That means I will have to dead head quit some distance no?
-
hey U2 do the reqruiters have a between time when theyre ther if so do you know when?
