Greetings and Happy Holidays Everyone, I have a question on the training in Ft. Worth as to what I can expect in real life when I arrive for those of you who have attended.
1. What type of services are there for the students, washers / driers, microwaves, refrigerators etc.
2. How much time out of the day are you in school studying for your CDL as compared to actual time behind the wheel getting practical experience?
3. How much money should I bring for the duration (is it 3 weeks training?) and did you get paid at all during training if not then when can you expect to receive your first paycheck?
4. What did you do for meals?
I know I have other questions but for the moment I just want a basic understanding of the facilities and services available.

1. I am pretty sure they do have microwaves but I really have no clue about laundry or that stuff.
2. I have heard that the first week is just classroom stuff. Im betting it has to do all with pre-trip logging and stuff like that. Then your last two weeks are in the field. As far as studying for the CDL I believe that is something you have to do on your own time.
3. I would look at what you plan to eat and just round up and go from there. You will need to bring money for your CDL testing not sure what texas is just ask your recruiter. School and training are different but Im sure your wondering about pay during school. There isn't any pay at this point. You do get paid when you get with a trainer which is only $300 a week. I am not sure when they pay you though.
4. I am taking a lot of microwaveable foods and kool-aid. Its according to what you want eat I guess.
Best of luck to you!!! -
