After a year of not driving at all, not a car, not a hmvee, nothing. I will be getting back in the drivers seat of a newer rig when I get home. I did meet with my boss while I was home on R and R and he agreed to give me a week of school time with the driving school that my company has on site, I was just wondering how hard it was for you guys that took a break from the road to get back in the seat.

I have heard from Trucker's that it's like riding a bicycle.
YOU never forget.
P.S. Don't forget to set your brakes when you park. -
After truck driving school, I served three years in the U.S. Army as a clerk. Then, I passed a company's road test and went solo immediately. Most of it is nothing more than common sense.

thanks for the replies and the encouraging words guys. Though when I went to go to dinner we have pull out our IDs and show them to a checker, I pulled out my DOT physical card and after looking at it real quick I noticed that it had expired while I was here, so I am going to have to have my company make an appointment for me to get a new one.
