I found a nice spot further up exit 63 in Gurdon the South Fork...last time I was there the parking lot was still moon crater central but the food was awesome and inexpensive

Last time I was thru there (probably winter 06/07) The BBQ was pretty good.
    The parking pitiful!
They charged for parking and you gotta dodge the moon craters in the dirt parking lot.
Worse craters than any TA I've been to.

    rocknroll nik Thanks this.

I've been off of truck driving for a long time, and I enjoy eating at a truck stop sometimes. Its been way over a year since we've eaten there, yet when we did the food and service was always pretty good, its about 40 miles from my home. When eating there I was always shocked by the way many of today's drivers dress. I would not fit in very good for I basally dress as I did in my truck driving days.

Strange, back in my trucking days I got tired of eating at truck stops, and was always watching for other places I could stop and eat while trucking up and down the interstate. Now that its been several years I enjoy eating at truck stops.

I think it's because when you're trucking it is the easiest places to get into and out of so we all eat there we get tired of them day after day but when you've been away they don't seem so bad

BBQ Shack does have good food but I'll never go there again after getting stuck.

    So true.

The South Fork truck stop used to be real good, yet it had gone down hill the last time I was there.

Back in the day I like the one at the 106 on I-30, and the old Texaco Truck Stop that I believe was at about the 128 or 129 mile marker on I-30 just south of Little Rock.

At that time the 106 had the big round table, of course that was before it burnt to the ground and they built the new one.
