How is it gonna work getting another truck? Take your pick off the yard or request a particular make/model?

To All Jct vets what truck do you feel is best for fuel economy and least breakdown issues?

I have been reading this thread for months now, and am impressed with the general positive attitude.
So, you guys can turn down a load to NYC? The reason I ask is I generally do not like going in there, lol. Is it ok to let them know up front that you don't wish to go there--or will there be consequences for not going there. And you guys don't chain up? Do you sit? Thanx.

I have on my load board "No Northeast". It seems to have worked for me. Yes we do chain up, but not too often. In my opinion, chains are to be used in an emergency, to get you safely off the highway. That might mean 1 mile or 30 miles, who knows. If the roads are impassable, the thats what it means. Common sense is the key.
The Challenger, hwy40blu and Temptinfates Thank this. -
I would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope you all got what you wanted for Christmas, and hope that you do even better next year.
hwy40blu Thanks this. -
