1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Ok here we go again. I graduated truck driving school earlier this month. I had a ton of offers. I turned them all down because I want to team with my husband. He however has 3 misdemeanors stemming from an assult that happened in 2007. He wasn't convicted until 2009. We can't find anyone who will take both of us. Even some of the so called bottom feeder companies won't. So now what? Any advice would be appreciated.

in circumstances like this i would suggest trying a smaller outfit near you, or in a nearby state, provided the location is with-in driving distance from your home.

as you know, this will take time to go away. you have an option (or two) and that is, YOU go to work, then try and get him on at a later time....then try teaming.

we do not need to know the convictions of the misdemeanors, they will have to pass whatever time frame the companies say. he can (maybe) get a job on the loading dock, while you are a driver..?? that way, the company can see he's a good employee..????

let us know how things go, best of luck to you and your hubby.

I am so curious- why would you think my husband is being a jerk? He's not. He has encouraged me to go out on my own, It is my choice. If you don't know the whole situation you just seem like an ### when you pass judgement

i think what mark was referring to was your hubby going out and doing stupid #### to get him in trouble in the first place.but ofcourse no one knows why your hubby picked up the charges, either way getting mixed up with the law will lead you to a dead end as you can see now.

My husband has 20+ years driving as a heavy hauler. Clean driving record and nothing on his criminal record except that one thing.
